These are a little out of order because they loaded that way and I don't want to spend a lot of time cutting and pasting. Deal with it and enjoy.

View from Tibre Island.

Cute little Italian neighborhood - this is seriously what everything looks like here.
Also from the cute little Italian neighborhood - literally called the "Italian" neighborhood because it is Italy without all the tourists. Very refreshing.
My first Italian pastries! Soooooo good. I've definitely had some every day so far. I love seeing big signs that say "Pasticceria."
Pantheon - AMAZING building.
Awesome staircase (that was really more like a ramp with drops in it...they have those everywhere here. I don't get it...) at the Vatican.

Incredible street artist - did all his work with spray paint
Art vendors at Plaza Navona. Beautiful.

For some reason I just adore these flower vendors - they are everywhere.

The Forum at night.
Inside the Coloseum - Jessica, Keri, Alex
Triumphal Arch of Titus. I promise it's cool. But maybe only if you're an art history major.
That's all for now - off to Pompeii tomorrow! That's right, be jealous.

These pic's make me so homesick for Italy. I had no idea you were over there until we were talking with Grandma and Grandpa on Mother's Day. Have so much fun!!! The street artists are totally amazing, the food is to die for, the people are hilarious, and the smells well some are down right bad but some are really good. Have you watched women try to walk on cobble stone in their stilettos then out of no where a man comes dashing by picks them up and carries them across the entire plaza. Ya, sigh...mi mancha tanto Italia! Ti voglio bene!
ReplyDeleteSo So So glad you're putting that jacket to good use. We sure miss you here (I've got some gossip for you), but I won't bother you about those things until you get back. Would like to see more pictures. Florence? Yes. Bring back a pastry for me? Yes PLEASE.
