Spring.

Moving home is hard. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. I didn't realize national disasters could occur indoors...

So...I have a love/hate relationship with starting over. I love that there is an opportunity to start with a fresh canvas - to organize, redo, clean out, and try again. I hate that you can feel like you've made all this progressed and accomplished so much only to find yourself back where you started. It's like spring - you finally have a warm day and you are so excited to try out the sunshine, and the next day it's snowing again, but this time the snow seems even more aggravating then before...yet in the end, you're even more grateful for the sunny days.

This week's "to do" list:
- Sew prom dress
- Go to work
- Clean out bedroom
- Plan/pack for NYC
- Send the sister off to London

This week's "hope" list:
- Visit tulip festival
- Write letters
- Find a good book to read
- Work
- Get some new Sunday clothes for NYC
- Brace self to say goodbye to Jake
- Clean out bedroom

New York City: Three days and counting.
As much as I love it, traveling really stresses me out.

Free.

Oh hey.

I'm done! Fished my last final a half hour ago and now I'm not really sure what to do with myself. Weird.

It's actually a funny story...I accidentally set my alarm this morning for 5:45 PM instead of AM. Ooops. I counting my blessings that I actually woke up because...I'm not really good at doing that on my own. Yeah. Woke up an hour later that I hoped (which is why I look so awesome in my post-finals pictures I just snapped of myself and attached to the bottom of this post.) But I still had time to study and get dressed and take that silly test. I. Am. Wonder Woman. Did you know?

So here's the rundown on life. School is finite. Done. Gone. Over. Need I say more? I'm so relieved. I move out of my apartment (I'm crying inside a little lot) on Saturday. Going back home will be really interesting...hopefully I survive without biting anyone's head off. I have a feeling there will be a bit of a power struggle between my new independent self and those who own the roof I will be living under. But it's fine because we are family and despite it all, we still love each other. Right, Mom?

Starting tomorrow it's work, work, work, work. And attend mission farewells. And sew. Like crazy. A couple of ties a prom dress and hopeful
ly an Easter skirt. Technically I am going in to work today...so does that mean work, work, work, work starts today? Long story short, 40 hours at week at upholstery, 5-10 hours at the Point, and sewing for Michelle on the side (a couple hours a night.) Yeah. Summer will be fun. I think. Maybe. Okay, probably not. But this time next year I will be packing my bags for Europe so it will all be worth it!

Happy news of the week: acing some of my finals, rocking my art history paper, being DONE with finals, Melissa wearing my prom dress I never wore to prom (super yay!), selling back my books for BIG MONEY, WOOT! and I can FINALLY think about New York cuz that's where I'm going to be next weekend!!!

Sad news of the week: moving out, saying goodbye to my ward,
not getting the cute kid's phone number (sigh...), saying goodbye to my dear roommates, including sweet Heather who left last night, realizing I have to come back to school in a few months...hahaha.

Gee wills, life happens fast. Take it as it comes.

Happy summer everyone. :)

Absence of Abduction

Dear audience that I do not have,

No worries. I am still alive and well. I am so sorry to inform you I have not been abducted or murdered or imprisoned or turned into a duck, no, not even a duck that can type. I have been embracing the end of the semester and the start of not one, but TWO jobs. Did I mention I got hired at the upholstery shop? Because I did. First day experience? Made myself a shop apron to get used the machine, spent two hours stuffing my face at a student employee appreciation barbecue (stuffing = seconds of everything, including the 500 calorie cookie/ice cream sandwiches and helping to organize a heist with my fellow employees to fill a t-shirt I won with a dozen more ice cream sandwiches for the break room freezer...don't worry about it), winning a free t-shirt and flowers in a raffle at said barbecue, and still getting to put down an eight hour work day though the only "work" I REALLY did was winding some webbing and washing a couple of shelves. Anywho, just wanted you to know why I refuse to post lately. Well, it's not actually that I refuse to...I just don't have time. Or anything to say really...other than the word STRESSED! in all caps. Like that. Final number one tomorrow. BRING IT.

Love, Me

PS - I also got a letter. I've read it many a time. It's delicious. Actually...I think I might have gotten two since I last posted. Embarrassing...and irrelevant. Ta ta!
