connect [kuh-nekt]
1. to join, link or fasten together; unite or bind
2. to establish communication between; put in communication
3. to have as an accompanying or associated feature
4. to cause to be associated, as in a personal or business relationship
5. to associate mentally or emotionally
Now RE-connect.
Reconnect with yourself.
Reconnect with people around you.
Reconnect with Christ.
We are people of association. We thrive on connections and relationships. When we get stressed, we disconnect.
So reconnect.
And in the process, please enjoy this wonderful, wonderful talk by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf.
Excerpt:
"This is the paradox of man: compared to God, man is nothing; yet we are everything to God. While against the backdrop of infinite creation we may appear to be nothing, we have a spark of eternal fire burning within our breast. We have the incomprehensible promise of exaltation - worlds without end - within our grasp. And it is God's great desire to help us reach it."
Now go do it. And succeed.
That is my motivational speech for the day.
