On Fashion

"I know it sounds corny, but to me, fashion is a form of art...[T]hat's strictly what I find it: it's not necessarily about simply looking "good" or "chic". The designers that inspire me don't focus on designing clothes just to be cloths; the looks they design are art! WEARABLE art, which is more fun that pretty paintings in a museum that you can't touch. My ignorance aside, it really bothers me when silly ideas like "Fashion Do's and Don't's" and "Fashion Police" are established, because that takes all the fun out of putting together an outfit. In my opinion, the most interesting fashion is the Anti-Fashion. No rules, no restrictions, no normalcy, no pleasing anyone ... It's not how cute an outfit is, it's what it seems to reflect: a personality, a story."

- Tavi

"Women, wear what you love. That's all I can say. That's my motto. It's nice to have on a nice suit, but it's a lot nicer to change a generation in terms of their health. It's a lot ... better use of my time to focus on rallying this country around our military families. I mean, there's so much that I hope to do in this role that makes a difference in people's lives."

- Michelle Obama

"Why change? Everyone has his own style. When you have found it, you should stick to it."

- Audrey Hepburn

On Humor

"Humor is vital. We definitely have a tendency to take ourselves way too seriously. [T]hat stems from a really sweet sincerity of people who are trying too hard to be good and who always want to be better. But in our quest for improvement we often forget to laugh, which is easy to do, since we're so busy. But laughter is important to your sanity and to your health. Marjorie Hinckley said, 'The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer laughing. Crying gives me a headache.' "
